Research context
Both compounds were developed from the same Scripps program as synthetic agonists of the nuclear receptors Rev-Erbα and Rev-Erbβ, core components of the circadian clock. They are studied in circadian-rhythm, mitochondrial biogenesis and lipid-metabolism models. SR9011 is generally reported with slightly different pharmacokinetics owing to its side-chain modification.
